What is it?Teen Express is a tailored skin treatment designed to support younger clients experiencing concerns such as breakouts, congestion, or general skin imbalance. Alongside treating congestion, the session focuses on practical education and age-appropriate skincare guidance in a supportive and professional environment.
Teen Express may be suitable for teens and young adults experiencing congestion, breakouts, or skin imbalance. It’s also a helpful option for those wanting to understand their skin better and learn how to care for it with guidance from a trained clinician. Parents and carers are welcome to attend consultations and treatments.
This treatment has no known contraindications. Your clinician will still review your skin history during consultation to ensure suitability
Every skin is different, so every Teen Express session is too. Your clinician may begin with gentle steam to soften congestion, followed by targeted extractions as needed. A low-strength chemical peel or LED light therapy may be used to support skin clarity, depending on your needs. The treatment finishes with calming serums and masks designed to hydrate, soothe and support skin recovery.
Each stage of the treatment brings a different sensation. Cleansing is thorough yet gentle. Manual extractions may cause mild discomfort, while chemical peels (if used) can create a tingling or warming sensation. Light-based components may feel warm or stimulating. These responses are temporary and typically settle shortly after treatment. Your clinician will guide you through each step to ensure your comfort and understanding.
Pre-careNo specific pre-care is required. Your clinician will advise if any adjustments to your skincare routine are recommended before treatment.
For the first five days post-treatment, or until all post-treatment skin reactions have fully settled, it’s important to support your skin with the following care:.
Use only a gentle cleanser morning and night.
Apply a moisturiser or your prescribed post-treatment product as directed.
Avoid direct sun exposure. When outdoors, wear a broad-brimmed hat and apply (and reapply) SPF 50 sunscreen throughout the day.
Refrain from vigorous exercise, saunas, steam rooms, or any heat-based wellness treatments for at least 48 hours.
Refrain from touching, picking, or squeezing the skin.
Following these guidelines will help optimise your results and support a smooth recovery.
Downtime typically lasts five to seven days, depending on the treatment area. During this time, you may experience.
Mild shedding from the peel.
Temporary scabbing at extraction sites, if performed.
These will be discussed with you before treatment. Your clinician will follow up after your first session, and we encourage you to contact the clinic if you experience any responses that are outside of the expected range.
Results, downtime and treatment response will vary from person to person.
Your clinician may recommend two to four treatments spaced two to four weeks apart, depending on your concerns and skin response.
Ongoing treatments may be recommended every four to twelve weeks, depending on your goals and skin condition. This timing will be discussed and reviewed at each visit..
In addition to not proceeding with a Teen Express Treatment, alternative treatments may include traditional facials, HydraFacial, chemical peels, extraction-focused treatments, or topical therapies. Your clinician will guide you toward the option best aligned with your goals and what this procedure can reasonably achieve.
