Green Genesis is a laser-based treatment that specifically targets vascular concerns. It utilises a wavelength absorbed by haemoglobin, allowing targeted heating of superficial blood vessels to support the reduction of visible redness and capillary prominence. While other treatments may appear similar, not all lasers are configured to deliver the same outcomes.

Green Genesis may be suitable for clients experiencing persistent facial redness, flushing, or visible superficial vessels. It is commonly incorporated into long-term redness management plans.

Green Genesis delivers controlled laser energy that is selectively absorbed by blood vessels. This energy causes coagulation of targeted vessels, which may reduce the appearance of redness and capillary visibility over time.

Green Genesis may feel warmer and more “snappy” than Laser Genesis. Any intense sensations are typically brief and settle quickly after each pulse.

No specific pre-treatment preparation is required.

For the first five days post-treatment, or until all post-treatment skin reactions have fully settled, it’s important to support your skin with the following care:
Use only a gentle cleanser morning and night.

Apply a moisturiser or your prescribed post-treatment product as directed.
Avoid direct sun exposure. When outdoors, wear a broad-brimmed hat and apply (and reapply) SPF 50 sunscreen throughout the day.

Refrain from vigorous exercise, saunas, steam rooms, or any heat-based wellness treatments for at least 48 hours.

Following these guidelines will help optimise your results and support a smooth recovery.

There is no expected downtime followin Green Genesis. Mild warmth and redness may persist for a few hours post-treatment.

Your clinician will follow up after your first session, and we encourage you to contact the clinic if you experience any responses that are outside of the expected range.

Results, downtime and treatment response will vary from person to person

Green Genesis treatments may not be suitable if any of the following apply:

Pregnancy.

Use of certain medications, including oral isotretinoin, corticosteroids, blood thinners, or photosensitising medications.

Immune-compromised conditions (e.g. HIV, lupus, scleroderma).

History of light sensitivity or previous reactions to light-based treatments.

To address specific concerns, up to four treatments may be recommended, spaced four to six weeks apart, followed by a review. Your treatment plan, including timing and frequency, will be discussed during consultation and tailored to your individual needs.

Ongoing maintenance may be recommended every four to twelve weeks, depending on your skin goals. In some cases, alternative or supplementary treatments may be more appropriate for long-term results. Your clinician will guide you through suitable options.

Alternative treatment options may include Q-Switched laser, Clear + Brilliant, IPL, BBL, PICO Genesis, PICO Genesis FX, chemical peels, or topical and oral therapies. During your consultation, your therapist will discuss all appropriate options with you to ensure your expectations are aligned with what this treatment can reasonably achieve.
