If your skin blushes like Chris Hemsworth just made eye contact, we should talk.
REDNESS
Redness is one of the most common things we see, and it's rarely as simple as a red face. If your cheeks and nose stay flushed long after the moment's passed, or you're noticing fine veins and a wash of colour that never fully settles, there's a good chance we're talking about rosacea, or something in the redness family. It's one of those conditions people plan their lives around. You shouldn't have to.
This is the flushing and vessel-side redness, not the kind that comes from irritation or an overloaded routine. That one sits with sensitivity, and the two get mixed up constantly, which is why a proper diagnosis matters so much. Redness and pigmentation often travel together, too, so it pays to know exactly what you're looking at before treating anything.
The causes are all over the map: trauma, sun exposure and damage, heritage, hormones, weather, lifestyle, and yes, emotions. Getting onto it early is usually the smartest move, before it settles in and becomes harder to manage.
In-clinic treatments for redness do most of the work, and homecare keeps things ticking over between visits. Options range from gentle, non-invasive approaches to those that may involve a bit of swelling for a short while, so we'll always be straight with you about what a treatment asks of you.
Sun exposure and protection both matter, and so does getting to know your personal triggers and steering around them. Where a topical or prescribed medication would help, we'll happily work alongside your health professionals. Redness tends to require ongoing upkeep, and we'd rather be honest about that from the start than have you feel misled down the track.
